On May 18, Easyland’s annual Technology Innovation Annual Conference (Easyland Tech World 2023) was successfully held. Attendees included Huang Lixia, Chairwoman of the Wuxi Science and Technology Association; Li Chang, Director of the Yangtze River Delta National Technology Innovation Center; Zhu Gang, Secretary-General of the Wuxi New Energy Chamber of Commerce; Dr. Ma Fanhua from Tsinghua University; and Li Wei, Director of AVL. As an international enterprise dedicated to providing innovative application solutions for energy-efficient vehicles, hybrid vehicles, and hydrogen fuel cell vehicles, Easyland organized this event to explore the development trends of the automotive power system industry and promote continuous innovation.
Leadership Speeches
Easyland achieved both revenue and profit growth in 2022 and has continued this momentum in 2023, demonstrating sustained and stable operations. Chairman Liu Quan noted that the company’s success is supported by government leaders and industry partners. He then shared the company's technological achievements in 2022, which included 103 patent grants for inventions, utility models, and designs; awards such as the First Prize for Scientific and Technological Progress from the Jiangsu Provincial Machinery Industry Association; and multiple other innovation awards. Liu also announced the strategic direction and guiding principles for Easyland’s continued focus on technological innovation in 2023.
Huang Lixia, Chairwoman of the Wuxi Science and Technology Association, praised Easyland’s commitment to technological innovation and corporate scientific activities. She offered three suggestions regarding the role of corporate science associations: first, to build platforms for technological innovation, actively establishing cooperation mechanisms with national societies, universities, and research institutions; second, to create platforms for academic exchange, collaborating with national and provincial societies to host academic forums; and third, to mobilize technological talent, organizing mass innovation activities that align corporate self-innovation with collective innovation.
Technical Forum
During the technical forum, several industry experts delivered presentations on topics such as opportunities in turbocharging technology innovation, global hydrogen internal combustion engine R&D and commercialization, trends in hybrid engine technology and turbocharging systems, and developments in onboard fuel cell systems and compressors. Easyland utilized this forum to discuss technological innovations in the automotive power system industry, providing attendees with valuable insights.
Mr. Huang Jianjun, Director of Easyland’s Technical Center, presented a report titled “Opportunities in Turbocharging Technology Innovation,” highlighting Easyland’s vision to become a leader in turbocharging technology applications. He introduced the company’s product models, core technologies, and engineering techniques. Citing the diversification of powertrain technology routes driven by electrification, he emphasized the new platforms and business opportunities for turbocharging technology innovation, boosting attendees' confidence in the company’s future development.
Professor Ma Fanhua from Tsinghua University explored the theme of “Global Hydrogen Internal Combustion Engine R&D and Commercialization.” He detailed the challenges of hydrogen energy utilization and provided insights into the current state of hydrogen internal combustion engine R&D globally. He highlighted common issues in the commercialization of hydrogen internal combustion engines and proposed corresponding recommendations, concluding that the future of hydrogen and pure hydrogen internal combustion engine commercialization is promising, with vast market potential.
Li Wei, Director of AVL, spoke on “Engine Technology and Development Trends,” first introducing the development trends and market shares of powertrain technologies in various global regions. He analyzed the trends in engine technology development, particularly dedicated hybrid engine technologies, and shared the latest cases of hydrogen internal combustion engine technology development for commercial vehicles. His discussion addressed different turbocharging options to meet power and emission requirements, guiding the development of hydrogen internal combustion engine turbochargers.
Experts from major domestic new energy manufacturers presented on “Development of Hybrid Engine Turbocharging Systems,” detailing the primary hybrid architectures and changes in engine performance characteristics in the domestic passenger vehicle market, articulating the core demands for turbochargers.

Awards Ceremony
Fostering an innovative environment and encouraging employees to pursue independent innovation were key themes of the event. Throughout 2022, various centers advanced multiple innovation projects across patents, product design, manufacturing engineering, product quality, digital intelligence, marketing breakthroughs, and functional support. The event concluded with the recognition of outstanding employees and teams in their respective fields, including the development of the first domestically matched turbocharger for ATV special applications, which received high acclaim from customers and achieved exclusive production qualification.
